The Assembly Voting product range makes Aion into Denmark’s leading developer of IT products and services used for democratic elections in for example Municipalities, associations and enterprises. We conduct and execute the majority of electronic elections in Denmark and have recently established ourselves in London to explore the opportunities on the emerging market for electronic elections.

We are looking to strengthen both our developer environment and our sales- and marketing activates in Denmark.


Developer for democracy products

Assembly Voting, a growing company with SAAS solutions for Danish and International clients in demand of democratic infrastructure, are looking for a new developer.

Assembly Voting provides a series of IT products and services that reinvent democratic processes in municipalities, associations and enterprises. We execute the majority of electronic votes in Denmark and have just established an office in London in order to pursue the emerging British market for electronic voting.

We are looking for a skilled full stack developer to accommodate the increasing demand for our IT products and to assists in the continuous development of new trustworthy and user-friendly products for voting and co-creation.

Are you able to transform ideas and concepts into functional code and applications? Do you care about quality of code, performance and craftsmanship? Do you follow the latest development and trends in your field of work and do you experiment with new techniques and tools? Do you posses a professional integrity and have the courage to stand up to specs and solutions that do not meet requirements of democratic rules and regulations?

If so, then you might very well be our new colleague in the important and awarding job of developing the next generation of democratic infrastructure.

Assembly Voting R&D

​You will become part of the Assembly Voting R&D with the responsibility of developing solutions within our 3 product areas: Elections, Candidates and Participation. It’s a small-dedicated team with contact to i.e. scholars, scientists, clients and users.

You will be given a great responsibility for a core area in a company fuelled by idealism, professionalism and pioneering spirit.

Solid Ruby and Rails experience

You have a relevant educational background combined with a minimum of 3 years experience in product development from a similar position in an IT company. You master Ruby and Rails and can present examples of your development work.

Furthermore you need skills within:

  • Unit and integration testing in Ruby

  • Both relational and document based databases

  • Linux (i.e. provisional tools: Chef, Puppet, etc.)

  • Javascript (i.e. Coffeescript, jquery + Angular, Ember, etc.)

  • HTML5, CSS (i.e. LESS, SCSS)

  • Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc. (used for mockups, slicing, sprites, font icons)

As an individual it’s important you are self-propelled and can work in a small organisation where everybody helps with the necessary tasks. You need to have a positive and energetic approach and must be able to make things happen.

Assembly Voting is based on an idea of strengthening democratic participation in society and associations by combining democratic processes and new technological opportunities for debate, co-creation and voting.

We were the first provider of e-voting in Denmark back in 2001, and is presently the largest provider on the market and have executed more than 600 votes and elections with a total number of 10+ mio. electorates.
