The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force May 25. 2018. The purpose of this regulation is to protect personal data from intentional and unintentional abuse, by new restrictive requirements for systems that contains data as well as for practices for handling of data in public institutions, companies and associations.
As a supplier of solutions to conduct law based and statutory elections, our systems and data handling processes already comply to very restrictive data protection standards. Hence, the new General Data Protection Regulation will not have major implications for our solutions and services in Assembly Voting.
The first employees are already well trained in the General Data Protection Regulation, and more will follow the coming months. We do this to ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation internally in Assembly Voting, as well as in our cooperation with customers and partners.
